About Us

Redefining Pageantry for the Modern Bahamian Woman

Since acquiring the license in 2018, the Miss Universe Bahamas Organization has been on a mission to reimagine what pageantry means for The Bahamas. We've rebuilt and restructured the Miss Universe Bahamas platform from the ground up — not just to crown a queen, but to reflect the strength, ambition, and diversity of the modern Bahamian woman. As pageantry continues to evolve in the 21st century, we're proud to offer something distinct: a program rooted in genuine growth, not just glamour.

The Journey

The Ten-Week Empowerment Program

Every contestant embarks on a transformative program built around two core pillars: personal growth and professional advancement.

Pillar One

Personal Development

We believe confidence is built, not born. Our personal development track hones the soft skills every young woman needs to walk into any room — literally and figuratively — with poise.

  • Official orientation with a mental health & wellness workshop
  • Professional modeling training
  • Communication & public speaking development
  • Dining & social etiquette workshops
  • Stage presence coaching
  • Personal styling sessions
  • Social events fostering self-confidence & connection

Pillar Two

Professional Development

Beyond the stage, we invest in who our contestants become in their everyday lives. This branch of the program supports each woman's career goals, involvement in community initiatives, and entrepreneurial ambitions — because we're preparing leaders, not just titleholders.

30+ Islands, One Nation

A Sash for Every Island

True to our commitment to showcasing the whole of The Bahamas, every contestant is assigned one of the nation's populated islands to represent on her sash — a meaningful nod to the rich geographic and cultural diversity that makes our country so special.

A Crown Worth Chasing

At the close of the program, one remarkable young woman will be crowned Miss Universe Bahamas — earning the right to represent The Bahamas on the world stage at the Miss Universe Pageant. It's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that so many young women dream of, and one we consider a true privilege to help make possible for every woman who dares to apply.
